A weekend in Paris: The luggage edit

Last weekend I was lucky enough to one of the thousands who managed to snaffle tickets for the closing night at the Beyonce and Jay Z On the Run tour in Paris! And what better way to really enjoy the weekend than to head to the city of love for two days to take in the sights and enjoy a whistle-stop tour to the city with two girl friends with tow. I think I’ll probably split this post out into two, but firstly I want to share with you my fantastic, and now favourite, piece of carry-on luggage I used this weekend. A couple of months ago a great company called, Bag 4 Flight got in touch on Twitter looking for bloggers to review their travel luggage and I thought the bag would be perfect, and I was right! It arrived in a tiny bag which had me doubting the true size, but I needn’t have worried, the bag is a fantastic size and comes in a light blue colour with an extendable across the …

The Kardashian Effect

Khloe Kardashian Odom. I have been a fan since I first discovered KUWTK during my 3rd year of University. After spending my younger years growing up in a house with with bog standard channels 1-5 until the launch of Freeview, the trials and tribulations of the Kardashian sisters and Jenner family was alien to me. Well until Virgin TV was introduced to my life in my 3rd year student house. Ahh memories. But, back to the matter in hand. Khloe quickly became my favourite character. Loud, outspoken and a ‘takes no prisoners’ attitude my kinda woman some might say. She told the truth to her sisters and has a quick, witty personality and a loving relationships with the younger Jenner sisters, who are now hot on the heels of the three K’s. Kim, Kourtney and Khloe. But, like I say Khloe has always been my favourite sister. I have been meaning to write this post for a while, but after a conversation with one of my friends whilst watching an episode of ‘Kim and Kourtney Take New York’. It was missing one thing in my opinion Mrs …

London Fashion Weekend- Round Up

Just how is it Friday already? My week off seems have to flown by so quickly, but I promised easrlier in the week I would be back with an update, so here I am! Yesterday I went down to London for London Fashion Weekend. Being an avid follower of Fashion Week and reading the many posts in the blogosphere, I thought why not take a trip to Fashion Weekend to live a snippet of the lifestyle and a cheeky shopping trip to London! (Warning- this post is very picture heavy!) The event is being held at Somerset House and runs from yesterday to this Sunday (I think!). I went all out and booked the Shop The Lot ticket, which basically meant I could browse round the many stalls in Somerset House, enjoy a Catwalk show and enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly, which you’ll agree is always nice! Many high-end brands were in attendance so I got to coo over beautiful Vivienne Westwood clothing and fell in love with a couple of Lola Rose pieces. Diet Coke, …

Shop Dixi: Hello newbies

Last week I did a post here on jewellery and more importantly, my love for rings and with all the snow on the ground, I don’t know about you but I’m just yearning for Spring to hurry up! I want to be able to wear ballet flats, fitted jackets and minus a million layers, oh and add many, mnay more rings to my ever-growing collection! I’ve been a fan of Dixi for a while as they have a gorgeous collection of jewellery. I know in the blogging world, sometimes a product comes along and everyone jumps on the bandwagon, and I hold my hands up, I’m included in that. But when it comes to jewellery I think its personal taste and reflects you and your personality. But Dixi has such a gorgeous range, they’ve made being unique, easy. I seem to discover all my fave shops through Twitter these days, what can I say, I must follow a fashionabe bunch! Dixi’s latest collection set to land online this Sunday, 27th January, and with these beauties set to …

Secret Sales Hell

When I sat down to write this post I was unsure which angle to take. The angle that I feel I ‘should’ take because of my job and my true feelings. The suject matter at hand- sales shopping. I hate sales. There I said it. Within my day job, sales hitting is a big deal. Its the retail chain money-maker and a great way to trasition from phase to phase. Or season to you and me. One thing I hate about sales are the big rush. I just don’t understand those amongst us who hit up Next at 6am and queue for hours on end to get the best deals. I mean, yes I probably just hit the nail on the head by stating you get the best deals but I love the rush of putting your card in the machine, or paying by cash if its a good month, and knowing you’ve bought something you really love. I know you can find things you love in sales (sometimes)  but I just feeel we spend …
