I bloody love summer and I’m one of those odd types who routinely checks the weather so I know how to dress and more importantly, when Al fresco drinks can take place.
Working in town is a godsend for those nights when new bars and restaurants throw open their doors and the prosecco is flowing in the sunshine. Last week I headed along to the newest addition to the Mann Island set – Mann Island Summer Social. Tucked away next to Avenue HQ, the modern building welcomes another addition to its roster.
With a stellar menu spanning breakfast, brunch, lunch and evening bites plus a cocktails, wine and beer menu, complete with Liverpool ales it’s a good spot to head with friends or on a date night.
Taking our spot outside as the sun continued to shine, amongst a couple of four legged friends who are also most welcome, @myfoodiejourney and I ordered a couple of dishes off the menu.
– Bang Bang Chicken Bowl
– Squeaky Cheese Bun
– Cauli Wings
– Mac & Cheese
– Chilli and Garlic Tenderstem Broccoli
With a feast for for two kweens and a glass of ice cold prosecco, we tucked in.
The Mac & Cheese was insane. Cheesy, gooey, beige goodness and along with the halloumi burger which didn’t scrimp on the halloumi, I was a happy gal.
The Bang Bang Chicken bowl looked amazing, such a decent portion and the cauli wings were perfectly spicy, just as they should be!
I’d defo recommend headings along for food or just drinks if you’re in the mood to try somewhere new.
