Sunday Roast x Maritime Dining Rooms, Albert Dock

My fave kinda weekend usually involves two things – either throwing my active wear on (which I only wear for doing the food shop, cleaning and a dog walk) and getting out with Darren and Molly on a walk or getting dressed up and going for food somewhere. Now the weather appears to have got the memo that its summer, last weekend meant the latter.

A roast dinner is something that I enjoy but don’t have very often. But when an email landed from the fab Pink Media team inviting me and a plus one along to the Maritime Dining Rooms, hidden away on the fourth floor of the Maritime Museum on the Albert Dock, I told Darren to throw his new pair of chinos on – we’re going out!

On our walk in the roast hot sun over to the docks, we actually said that we never venture to that part of town. A, cos it’s normally tourist heaven but B, you kinda forget about the docks when you live in Liverpool. So, it was quite nice to do something different and also, from looking at the IG account, they do weddings, so it was quite nice to see the space cos after ignoring it for over a year, wedding planning might be back on the cards….

I decided to dress up a tad for the occasion, cos we haven’t had a date day in a while and I wanted an excuse to show off my new rose gold hair and wear my new top from the Lorna Luxe collection at InTheStyle – priorities. I’ve only been following Lorna since Christmas but she’s such a breath of fresh air in the world of bloggers and influencers and I love how much she backs her collection – not just putting her name to it and never being seen in a piece again.

I ordered the ‘Practically Perfect’ pink wrap top. I loved the puffed shoulders and wrap detail – especially as the fabric can be tied however you wish, meaning it can be worn a crop or as an actual top. I paired it with my green wide leg trousers and black sandals.
