I love having the chance to get dolled up and have somewhere to go. You know the drill – having a full face of glam makeup, hair done and a cute outfit to go out with the girls and drink your body weight in prosecco – spoiler alert, for me that is A LOT of prosec.
Well last weekend was just that. Friday night glam and Saturday brunch with the gals. Enter the requirement for having two outfits to feel fab in but also the excuse to get glam. Spending loads on trends is not for me.
When it comes to making fashion investments (get me) that would usually be a bag or a pair of shoes. Maybe a good pair of jeans? Basically something that I will own love and adore for a long time. Not a fast fashion item that ticks the boxes now but maybe not so much in six months time.
Friday night glam
The weather wasn’t the finest but I was headed to Mid Night Lounge for their blow-dry bar launch and glam was essential. I wore the Femme Luxe Refinery one shoulder jumpsuit in black with a black waist belt from Primark and silver wedges.
The launch was really fun and the blow dry space looks amazing. I went along with Laura from My Foodie Journey and we mingled with a couple of the celebs in attending, Charlotte Dawson and Gabby from last year’s Love Island.
I headed along to Castle Street Coffee in Santa Maluco on Bold Street to meet the Birds Who Brunch gals for a hangover breakfast and a much needed hair of the dog.
Wearing another Femme Luxe Refinery item I styled up this oversize t-shirt dress for a rainy day with black boots. It’s dead comfy and made getting dressed v easy – ideal on a hangover.
It was also World Gin Day so the fab Pink Media team invited me along to Birdies BBQ to sample a few different Beefeater gin and tonics. Fabulous!
