Any Aldi shopper worth their weight in gold will know the nation’s fave discount supermarket is a treasure chest just waiting to be opened. Both Darren and I love popping along every week and seeing what’s on offer in the special buys. Most of the homeware in our house is from Aldi, usually dupes of items from designer or branded shops.
So, when I was flicking through the magazine and I spotted they were doing make up dupes, I knew I had to pick a couple of products up to try. Duping brands such as Benefit, Charlotte Tilbury and Elemis for less than a tenner, it’s a no brainer!
Well, the packaging looks the same, and the contents also ticks the right boxes. From first impressions, it’s a blood good dupe. The packaging is more flimsy, which is where the cheap pricepoint comes into play, but it applies to the skin nicely, the highlighter lasts a full day in work and it smells ok too. If you want to get the look for a quarter of the price, get to Aldi.
I love this mascara. It’s long lasting, I love the brush and it’s easy to get off too. I like the silver packaging and the wand is easy to use. I need to get another one before it disappears off the shelves, never to be seen again. That’s all I have to say on that matter.
A couple of months ago I reviewed the Aldi Lacura dupe of Pixi Glow Tonic – you can read that here.
