Ruth Writes is a 30-something Liverpool based blog covering mid-size fashion, pescatarian food and beauty.
It’s been a while since this blog had a strong beauty focus, and I mean even though I’m currently not evening wearing make-up to work, I’m letting my love for beauty and skincare products take over. Being in the new house means I love finding new corners to take photos and share on here and across on my IG. So, in the spirit of getting back to regular blog posts and creating the type of #content I want to share, here’s a handful of things, I’ve been loving lately –
Last month I was selected to join the fab Soap & Glory #babesofglory blogger campaign. Aimed at smaller, micro-influencers, I loved the idea behind it and as a long, long-time user of the brand, I thought it suited me and the posts I like to create, down to a T! I’m excited to learn more about the brand and share new launches with you!
I’ve been following Lydia’s content for years now and I always look forward to reading her posts and watching her vlogs. However, as someone who works in PR & Outreach I also really respect her work ethics and attitudes towards the industry. So, listening to her guest star on the Take Flight podcast was really interesting and offered some great takeaways on working with bloggers and her growth to becoming a full-time influencer.
We’ve been in our new house for just over a month now and with the initial big jobs underway (buying curtains/deciding on colour schemes) we’re really enjoying our home. I’m loving taking blog photos again and it’s very Instagrammable (in my opinion, anyway!) and buying fresh flowers each week for the many different rooms is just lovely. Moving in time for peony season was perfect!
How could I not mention Love Island?! Like I have been for the past four summers, I’m hooked. Whilst we don’t have any Jonathan & Hannah or Cara & Nathan type couples yet, I’m fully invested. I mean, I think we all dislike Adam and Eyal’s snakey ways. Whatever happens, bring on the long, hot summer!
