Shoes were never a first love. Boots? Absolutely. But shoes? No. That was until I decided to update my shoe collection and give into my love for all things shiny and pretty. Primark’s shoe game, I’m sure you’ll agree, is strong.
As we’re willing the warmer months to appear and Spring to finally spring, I’ve turned my attention to my shoe collection (rack, if you will) and I’m aware that I need to show it some love. Switching up your footwear is the easiest way to change your look. The cold weather and extra-long winter this year has meant I got bored of my wardrobe and coat collection v quickly.
So, this is where accessories come into play.
If you follow me over on Instagram, which you defo should, you’ll know I’ve invested heavily in Primark’s tassel earring collection. I didn’t mean this post to become an ode to Primarni, but as I continue to write and the words flow, I guess that’s where we’re taking it…
But, as I was saying, as much as I looove wearing a statement tassel earring ATM, I’m trying to show my shoe collection some love.
I snaffled up this pair of lilac, patent, block heel shoes about 12 months. Pretty much around this time of year when I was despo for some sun. They’re actually great for this time of year. I’ve been wearing them with skinny jeans, a long sleeve top for a cute, weekend outfit. But I also plan to wear them with 100 denier thick black tights and a pinafore dress soon, cos in my head I’m thinking that will look super cute.
Since losing weight, I actually think my shoe size may have shrunk a little though… Do you remember when you were younger and you would head off to Clarks with your parents to measure your feet and get an idea of whether you need a bigger size?
It seems that isn’t a thing for adults. If you find it difficult to shop your correct size, you can use a Shoe Size Conversion Chart. It’s the perfect way to work out what size you are, whether you’re buying from the US or the UK. Defo a handy tool to keep book-marked when you’re shopping online.
Shein is an online store I’ve heard so much about, thanks to their dupes. I keep meaning to order a pair of their Valentino Studded Rockstar dupe heels and the guide is will be perf for working out exactly what size I need. Especially as the store is based in the US and keeping shipping fees and unnecessary returns to a minimum is a must!
