Ruth Writes is a 30-something Liverpool based blog covering mid-size fashion, pescatarian food and beauty.
If you’re a Bold Street regular or someone who likes to eat healthier and discover new brands to add to the weekly shop, I’m sure you’re well acquainted with the LIV Food Market, located just opposite Liverpool Central.
Since it opened its doors just under a year ago, the one-stop health food shop has quite rightly built up quite a reputation in the city. Doubling up a venue to stop for breakfast, brunch, lunch or a leisurely drink between shops and a health superstore, it’s well worth a visit.
I attended their Bloggers Brunch recently and wanted to chat you through my three favourite things about the brand….
The food, obvs. The cafe section of the store has a very homely decor and it’s very easy to get comfy on one of the many sofas and indulge in a dish or two from the menu. We were treated to small bites from the breakfast menu. Every blogger fave made an appearance – avo on homemade, on the premises sourdough, peanut butter and banana on toast, tofu and smoothie bowls. Every dish is made to order, extremely fresh and packed with flavour. Eating well doesn’t have to be dull, and this eatery is here to prove that once and for all!
Something you may not know about the LIV Food Market, is despite the name, the store doesn’t focus solely on food. The beauty products stocked in the store are varied and tick the boxes when it comes to vegan and cruelty-free. Browse the aisles and get to grips with the various brands available. With demonstrations taking place often, enjoy a firts-hand look at the products and why investing in cruelty-free brands should be on everyone’s radar.
The building itself is a huge selling point. Complete with many of the original features, combined with a very Instagrammable decor, it was interesting to hear that the overall look and feel of the store plays a huge part in it’s making and as a customer, it shines through. It’s a store I enjoy visiting, browsing and I can’t wait to come back and eat in the cafe again!
