I don’t know about you but when going out dinner, along with the routine of reading the menu hours in advance I also like to take a look at the desserts on offer. You know, I case I have room. (Jokes, I always have room for dessert). But Heavenly Desserts makes the choice super simple…
Joining the Liverpool food and drink scene, you can find Heavenly Desserts on The Strand. Just a stone’s throw from the Hilton and opposite the Albert Dock, its picturesque location makes it perfect for locals and tourists alike and you’re bound to stepping through the doors when you see what’s on the menu!
As the name suggests, this dedicated dessert-only restaurant is home to a variety of delicious hot and cold sweet treats. If you’ve got a serious sweet tooth or sugar craving, I recommend hot-footing down to Heavenly Desserts.
Visiting on a wintery Saturday afternoon, my Mum and I were kindly greeted to the well-dressed staff and shown to a window table. If you’re in a hurry I suggest planning ahead because the menu is extensive! Cookie dough, crepes, pancakes, waffles, cakes, ice cream and gelato all feature and you’’ struggle to narrow down your choices, believe me.
My mum opted to try the milk and white chocolate cookie dough dessert with fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Hot fresh from the oven, I have it in good authority it was very soft, gooey and the perfect sweet treat you’d expect from a desserts restaurant!
The staff were super helpful in explaining the menu and if you’re in the mood to try something a little bit different with a great view, I’d recommend popping along.
I decided to try one of the passionfruit mocktails, topped with a deliciously fruity dollop of mango sorbet and a very decedent Belgian waffle topped with fresh strawberries, banana and mango, coconut ice cream, whipped cream and the all-important finishing touch – maple syrup. I’m not ashamed to admit I demolished the lot. Very delicious, fresh and ultimately moreish!
