One of the complete up-sells about autumn is the whole hygge vibe. You know, getting cosy on the sofa, wearing pj’s none stop… (Although, this is a recurring theme all year round) and embracing autumnal foods. You know, cheese, pate and stodgy puddings.
Whilst this may not be good for the ole waistline and that fact that I get weighed every Tuesday, I couldn’t resist giving a crumble a whirl.
I’ll admit, I hadn’t actually made a crumble before, but how hard could it be? Well, once I’d guessed the ingredient quantities, not that hard at all, actually.
The recipe in question was that of GBBO contestant, Selasi and was in cooperation with Vita Coco Coconut Oil. I’m quite the fan of using coconut oil, although it’s classed as deadly syns on Slimming World so I use it sneakily every now and again. And, this recipe seemed like the perfect opportunity!
So, here’s the fun part. This recipe is all about getting your hands dirty…so prepare to start mixing!
Seeing as this was my first attempt, I was quite proud! The fruit was soft and gooey and the crumble was super sweet and the ideal consistency! Now, what to make next…
