Since I joined Slimming World I’ve noticed a real change in my skin. It’s probably down to the lack of chocolate and crisps I allow myself to eat these days, but now the adult spots are a thing of the past and I’m enjoying the clearer skin, I decided a couple of months ago to start looking after it properly.
I switched my foundation over summer to a lighter, BB cream so wearing less make up has had a massive impact and I’ve always been a cleanse, tone and moisture kindal gal, taking my make up off as soon as I get in from work. But I knew I should be doing more than just using micellar water and any old face wash I can pick up on the cheap.
So, I thought I’d share the three products that are currently living on my bedside table and I’m using daily. I’m really enjoying taking that extra 10 minutes each night to care for my skin and these are three products I know I’d repurchase again and again!
So, the three big introductions to my evening routine are as follows –
B Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz
I’ve always thought these spritz are just to use when you’re on holiday but I’m really enjoying spraying onto clean skin before bed. The change in weather means my face takes a bit of a battering in wind and rain and the light fresh smell and cleansing spritz feels great on my skin. It isn’t claggy or heavy nor is it too strongly perfumed. Acid’s too tend to sound quite scary but this one is perfect for a spritz in the evening and at the weekend before I apply my make up. I’m sold.
What Skin Needs Hydrating Facial Serum
This is a game-changer of a product! It comes with a pipette applicator which you squeeze one or two drops into and then massage into the skin. It smells amazing, very fruity without being overly perfumed. I apply onto clean skin before bed, after I’ve used the spritz. As it’s a serum, it does feel quite oily when first applied but once you’ve rubbed into your skin, pores and neck, it quickly sinks into the skin. I wouldn’t say it’s greasy, just the texture you would find of an oil-based serum. I’ve been using it for over a month, pretty much daily and I love how it feels on my skin. I definitely think it’s a helping factor in my foundation lasting all day as the base of my skin is very soft and smooth. I’ve also been wearing it at the weekend when I’m having make up free days. I just love the idea of a product working through the night while I sleep!
Monu Firming Fiji Facial Oil
This little find arrived in the September Glossy Box and I love it! I use it a couple of times a week in place of the serum as I find they both do the same job. As with the serum, it’s quite greasy when you first pour out of the bottle and it doesn’t come with a pipette. This is a sample bottle, hence it being slightly smaller, but I’ve still really enjoyed using this product.
