Last year and creeping into this year, the embroidered trend is big business and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. I loved the embroidered denim jacket trend last year and the pastel jackets on the high street so I decided to DIY my own jacket!
Luckily Dylon Fabric Dyes got in touch around the same time to see if I would be interested in a collaboration, I jumped at it!
The perfect denim
The tricky part was finding the perfect denim jacket. I knew in my head what I wanted but finding it was a whole new issue! After a quick scour of the internet, read Ebay I decided to head to the charity shops in my town hoping to find the perfect one.
Luckily I stumbled across this jacket on a vintage stall in the town market hall!
I knew I was after a pink toned jacket so I used the shade powder pink . It was so easy to use – literally just dampen your item of clothing; and pop in the drum with the dye for an hour.
I love the shade of purpley pink that the jacket turned out against the acid wash effect. I styled it above with black jeans, boots and a pale pink top but I can’t wait to wear this in summer with dresses and culottes.
