Beauty // New Purchases ft Urban Decay Kat Von D
Okay so I’ve gotta put it out there before I even start this post. … I frickin’ love these photos! I’m really trying to play around with backgrounds to make my blog photos look a bit more interesting and I just adore the black and white theme on this post!
It’s been a while since I last updated the contents of my make-up bag and after a couple of fun blogger events I’ve restocked and I’m now the proud owner of a Kat Von D eyeliner and two Urban Decay Vice lipsticks.
Both iconic brands known for their bold colours and gorgeous, lasting products! I’ve heard and read so many amazing reviews of the Kat Von D
tattoo liner and since the brand launched in Debenhams, I couldn’t wait to head along to the stand and take a peek at the collection. I was so kindly gifted this eyeliner after the Debenhams glamoween event I blogged about on the weekend and I couldn’t be happier. I wore it on the weekend and everything from the packaging down to the product stands out. It was really easy to apply and it lasted the entire day and night!
Next up we have Urban Decay Vice. Again, another collection I’ve seen all over Instagram but hadn’t had the joy of trying…yet! These two lipsticks were perfect for the Halloween weekend and are ideal for autumnal make up looks to vamp up your evening look! The application is really smooth, without being too drying which is a winner in my eyes.
Illamasqua is one of the holy grail make up brands. Bold and vibrant in colour and really standing out from the high street dupes, I picked* up a bright red lippie last week and holy Chicago, it’s gorge. If you’re on the hunt for a perfect pillarbox red with definite lasting power and you want to invest, I highly recommend this little hun. It does what it says on the tin and you won’t be disappointed!
Lastly, Make Up Forever is a brand that is completely new to me. Upon arriving at the #Debsglamoween event I was so surprised to find high quality, seriously pigmented make up at such reasonable prices! Placed in the Debenhams beauty floor, this brand is in the mix with Urban Decay and Mac but at a lower price point and with such a wide collection (plus seriously skilled MUA’s) I can’t wait for my next visit!
