Food // La Tasca, Liverpool Review

Last week I was invited to visit the newly refurbished La Tasca based just off Queen Square in Liverpool. To be completely honest I hadn’t been to a La Tasca in quite some years, but I’m loving attending blogger events in the city so I headed down with my boyfriend in tow.

We arrived at the restaurant at 6pm and I was impressed by the large outside dining space they have. It was a warm evening and with many of the outside tables occupied, it looked really lovely.Once greeted by the helpful PR team we were shown to our table, handily located in front of the kitchen so we could watch the chefs at work. The staff were lovely and so knowledgeable about the food, drinks and the history of the restaurant.

It was really interesting to hear that the chain cater to two types of clientele – those who want to grab a quick bite but also they’ve began to turn their hand to fine dining.

We were treated to a variation of the tapas style dishes – starting with breads, traditional Spanish cheeses and meats before moving on the hot dishes.

We were treated to a range of veggie and meat-based dishes, a yummy chorizo paella plus sangria and wine to accompany.

The entire evening was well thought out with attention to detail in terms of explaining each dish to us and Spanish dancers to truly set the tone of the night. We were very impressed with the quality of the food and we’ll defo be visiting again!

Have you been to La Tasca recently and if so what did you think?
