Food // Wahaca, Liverpool

Yesterday I had my first works social in my new job. The sun was shining and after a long 4 day week, as soon as the clock hit 4.30 we downed tools and headed to Wahaca.

I’d heard good things about the chain and I’m a huge fan of Mexican food so it already got a thumbs up from me. Plus we were ready for a cocktail or 3!

The Liverpool branch is deceptively big, spanning three floors plus a roof terrace. When we arrived around 5.30 a couple of tables were taken, but they had space for our party of 6.

The menu was a lot bigger than I expected too with a choice of smaller, tapas-style dishes or big ears – meals for one basically.

I opted for 2 of the smaller dishes plus a side. I settled on the chicken tacos, a sweet potato and feta dish and a side of green rice and black beans. It was delicious and the perfect amount – meaning i had space for pina coladas!
