Gig venue run-down

As a music fan, I don’t mind jumping on a train, or more recently a plane, to head to a gig. Sometimes you just want to catch your favourite band or singer, listen to your top 10 most-played songs on your spotify in the flesh and dance like no-one’s watching… trust me, they aren’t cos everyone is going wild at the same time! Having attended a good few too many gigs in my teens and twenties and just two left to go this year, sob, I thought it would be fun to do a post on my favourite venues in the UK. Manchester Apollo I think the Apollo is my number one. It may be small but with the slopped floor and curved stage it packs in the atmosphere and is a great venue for up-coming and established bands. Having seen Laura Marling, Scissor Sisters, Lily Allen many, many years ago and Lana Del Ray here, I am yet to experience a bad gig. Fingers crossed. The MEN It may have been renamed in recent …

A weekend in Paris: The luggage edit

It arrived in a tiny bag which had me doubting the true size, but I needn’t have worried, the bag is a fantastic size and comes in a light blue colour with an extendable across the …

Make up removers: The best of the rest

Back in January I posted about my New Years resolutions and the biggie this year was to really invest in a great skincare routine. I have quite ¬†oily/spot prone skin and as I’m not getting any younger, it was time to address the issue head on. In the past I have always used make up wipes to remove my make up on a day to day basis but with the amount of beauty blogs I read it was high time I upped my game and first on the list was a decent make up remover.   Back in January I invested in a blogger favorite and a bottle of Biodermia mercier water from an ebay seller.¬†Biodermia is a brand I had read so much about but didn’t know whether the hype. However I was pleasantly surprised. It really does feel like water, strips off all my make up including waterproof mascara and leaves my skin feeling fresh. I can really feel the difference as my skin feels like it can breathe. But we are now …
