Ruth Writes is a 30-something Liverpool based blog covering mid-size fashion, pescatarian food and beauty.
Recently I’ve sat down so many times, gone to blog and ended up staring at the blank screen. Sometimes you just don’t know what to write about, even when so much is going on around you and weekends pass by in a blur, the blog posts don’t come. I think one of the reasons why I haven’t blog recently is because I’ve fallen out of love with it a little bit and in all honesty, feel a little bit silly. There’s something so indulgent about writing a blog, passing comment on your life, gigs you go to and stuff you want to buy off of the internet, but having blogged for 4 years this June and read blogs for much longer, I think I’m having a lul and for the first time ever… I don’t have anything to say.
The number of blogs I read on a daily basis has dramatically gone down and I’m starting to stray away with my favourites which is sad. But I love to write, I really do and maybe because I do it as my 9-5, the thought of coming home to blog over here sometimes feels a little too much like work. I don’t know. But I don’t want to abandon my little space on the internet all together so my posts may be little and often from here on in, but I’m sure come the summer it’ll all start making sense again.
Towards the end of summer last year I started posting outfits which I plan to do again when the weather heats up and I love blogging holidays and trips as this blog is like my diary and having taken a look through old posts this evening I can see how far it, and I, have come since I set it up back in June 2010.
Last month I signed up to take part in Team Honk, a blogger relay from Lands End to John O’Groats and I shall be cycling in the North-West leg in March so I shall be blogging about that soon and actually attempting to get on my bike soon- the date is rolling around rather quickly and I’m yet to progress from a stationary exercise bike in the gym…eeek! So please bear with me and I will be back to my blogging best very soon.
