A popular blog post that is doing the rounds at the moment is the 2013 round up post. Last New Years I was really sad to see the back of 2012 as it was such a fun, awesome year and I didn’t know if 2013 could live up to the hype. Well it some ways it kinda didn’t but over-all it was a fab year. 2013 didn’t bring any drama, upset or stress. Life these day is kinda a-ok. I like my job, love my friends, discovered who to trust, lean on and who is there at the drop of a hat and I have some fun memories from the past 12 months with my favourite people. These are just a snap shot of my highlights!
I took the train down to London in February for the day to attend London Fashion Weekend. It was a great day and fab to see the shows.
We had an amazing summer and after work each night I went on walks in the sunshine with my dog- Buttons. Best part of the day sometimes.
The first festival of the year was Glastonbury. It was our 3rd year and just as amazing as the previous two. There’s s0 much I could write about Glastonbury but I will try to sum up in one sentence- The most drunken 5 days that included Dizzee Rascal, Arctic Monkeys and
shouting screaming hiyyaaa at Millie Macintosh. Yeahhh. Perfect.
I treated myself to a new Nikon camera in the summer and enjoyed a lovely sunny Sunday with my friend Natalie in our local park eating ice cream.
My best friend Astrid and I took her gorgeous little girl to the Sealife Centre at the Trafford Centre in the summer. She loves fish so it was such a lovely day.
My second festival came in August, when Natalie and I went to V Festival. The weather wasn’t wall to wall sunshine but we missed the rain whilst watching Mcfly or 5ive in one of the tents, can’t remember which one. It was a great day and we managed to catch loads of bands and have made a pact to go again this year. Just need to find a tent to camp for the weekend….
In September, my ma and I went to Rome. She had always wanted to go to Italy so back in March we took the plunge, booked flights and accommodation through Booking.com, which I would highly recommend, and spent 5 days n the city. We saw all the hot spots and managed to fit in so much and the weather was amazing for the last weekend in September. A great way to round off a fab summer.
2013 was also the year I went blonde. After years of being bright red, then brown and a shade of ginge, back in Feb I stopped home dying and went to the hairdressers to start going blonde. I still love it so much and it’s a lot lighter now than in this pic from October.
Over-all 2013 was fun and I’m excited to see what this year will bring! With a trip to Brugge booked, a hen do in the Lakes and Buble, Katy Perry and Arctic Monkeys tickets booked, I’m excited already…..
