So last Wednesday, my Ma and I boarded a very early Jet 2 flight from Manchester Airport to Rome for a 4 day city break. Having never been to Italy before it was absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful country with lots to see, enough cobbled streets to last you a lifetime with each hidden away within the tall buildings of the city containing boutiques, restaurants and pizza and gelato take away shops- perfect! I took plenty of photos so have decided to split my trip out into a couple of posts- beware, you may up wanting to visit this beautiful city!
This first post covers our first afternoon in Rome on Wednesday when we took the metro from Cornelia to St Peters Square and then walked over the river past the castle and our 2nd day spent exploring and taking the open top bus tour around the city.
Check out Wednesday’s post featuring our trip to the Coliseum!
