My week in pictures

This post does basically what it says on the tin- my week in pictures! 1. The Killers at Manchester Arena. I’ve never seen them live before, but wow, deof worth the wait! 2.  More Magazine and Mini Eggs- need I say more? 3  + 4. Temple tube station on my way to Somerset House for London Fashion Weekend and having a nosey at the yummy food stalls in Covent Garden.

London Fashion Weekend- Round Up

Just how is it Friday already? My week off seems have to flown by so quickly, but I promised easrlier in the week I would be back with an update, so here I am! Yesterday I went down to London for London Fashion Weekend. Being an avid follower of Fashion Week and reading the many posts in the blogosphere, I thought why not take a trip to Fashion Weekend to live a snippet of the lifestyle and a cheeky shopping trip to London! (Warning- this post is very picture heavy!) The event is being held at Somerset House and runs from yesterday to this Sunday (I think!). I went all out and booked the Shop The Lot ticket, which basically meant I could browse round the many stalls in Somerset House, enjoy a Catwalk show and enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly, which you’ll agree is always nice! Many high-end brands were in attendance so I got to coo over beautiful Vivienne Westwood clothing and fell in love with a couple of Lola Rose pieces. Diet Coke, …

Wednesday Wish List

I know Wednesday Wish Lists are a really popular feature in the blogging world, but I never really tend to take part. Until I realised I spend the majority of my time on my laptop either catching up on tv shows or shopping. And seeing as I love shopping and clothes and bags, oh so muc, I just kinda thought I’d pull together a couple of pieces that have been chilling out in my basket, whilst I wait for payday to hurry up! Lately, River Island has been my go-to as I know I can rely on the fit when shopping online and the price is reasonable if you just want to shop for the sake of it!

Bits and Bobs

So, I haven’t blogged about the goings on in my life for a while- apologies but here I am. I’m currently off work for a week so I’m looking forward to a much needed breather and my week is kicking off with The Killers at the MEN tonight, which I’m tres looking forward to! The sunshine and lovely days are helping too so I will provide a detailed update towards the end of the week (boo!) but for now this is what I’m pinning over on Pinterest and defo making me smile!

Best of the rest: The Grammys 2013

Taylor Swift opening the show, J.LO flaunting the ‘cover it up’ rule with a thigh high split to rival Liz Hurley, the return of The Trousersnake and Adele having a pop at Chris Brown- The Grammy’s were eventful, right? Oh and the small matter of Rihanna and Chris Brown making their first public, award ceremony appearance since the ‘altercation’ 4 years ago. But, despite my life focusing on celeb goss (well not soley, but it takes up alot of my day), but anyways, lets talk dresses! 1. Katy Perry. Since her split from Russell Brand she has shunned the limelight, and has defo been hitting the gym. The hair, the dress, that cleavage. Girl, looks good. 2. Queen B. With a world tour announced, Destinys Child reunion firmly underway and the resepectible other half to Jay Z, only Beyonce could ditch the dress and look beaut in a monochrome jumpsuit. 3. She changes her hair, more often than most of us change our underwear, but with long locks and a floor length red dress to match, Rihanna brought …

Katie Price V Kelly Brook

So, on Friday Katie Price hit the headlines again, via her collumn in The Sun, but for all the wrong reas0ns. Price made a sweeping statement calling Kelly Brook, ‘a heifer, but still a hot one’. Katie’s career has taken a nosedive in recent years since her split from Andre is 2009 and her recent nuptials to new hubby, she uses her weekly collumn in The Sun to express her contriversial opinions and state ‘the truth’ about the media coverage that surrounds her.  However, her recent comments just seem idiotic. Kelly Brook is gorgeous with a stunning figure and she often tops the ‘hot bod’ poles in womens weeklies, so Price’s opinions have really struck a chord. Katie’s fanbase is made up of young impressionable girls who take inspiration from the beach bods we see and read in the magazines and if you believe the diet habits and astonishing weight loss stories, its enough to drive you directly to the treadmill. Yes, ok, Katie made her career on page 3 and has spent thousands on …

Superhero Print Power!

Sometimes I’m late to the fashion party and when it comes to statement superhero prints, that was definately the case. I adored the ASOS dress that Jesy from Little Mix and Cheryl Cole were spotted in, but I’m not a fan of the bodycon dress look, however my latest fashion fix seems to be pencil skirts. Flattering as I can team with an oversize top and still rock the bodycon trend  and can totes wear with my much loved ankle boots for work and out on the weekend- perfect!! But, at the minute payday is still feeling quite a way away so I turned to the next best option- the holy grail that is Ebay and I may have made a couple of cheeky purchases. Thank gawd for my paypal account! Buy Here- 1. Cartoon Pencil Skirt 2. Batman Pencil Skirt 3. Moustache Pencil Skirt *Images taken from Google Images

Barry M Gelly Polishes

I know it’s personal preference but I think painted nails is the perfect way to complete your look and I just can’t do plain nails as I think it makes my hand look ugly- crazy I know! Glitter polishes, matt colours and french manicures- I love them all. My everyday go-to brands are Essie and Barry M.  Barry M are an oldie but a goodie as they are just so cheap and offer fantastic coverage and seem to last a good couple of days, up to a week if I’m lucky, without any chips. I love checking out the Barry M nail bars you can find in Superdrug stores. The one that used to be in the Trafford Centre was perf for me- a vision of gorgeous nail varnishes. When they launched the Gelly polishes I was hooked- my fave is the Watermelon shade- a deep green which is just a little beaut! Barry M announced on Thursday on Twitter that they are launching 4 new shades so I nabbed the pic to share on here- sorry guys! I can’t wait …
