A Rocky Horror Kinda Halloween……….

This year is the first halloween in as many years that I have had zero plans and not embraced fancy dress which makes me kinda sad but it has been quite nice to escape the tradition and enjoy having a nosey at the many different variations of fancy dress that has taken place across all forms of social media. Facebook seems to be the generic ‘sexy’ fancy dress so sexy cats, sexy maids, you know the drill whilst Twitter and the blogsphere seems to embrace the spooky side which sits alot better with me personally. One of my favourite all-time films is Rocky Horror Picture Show and Halloween is just the perfect excuse to dust it off and have a sing-along. Last Halloween, my bestie and her ma and pa dressed up as the characters and embraced hallows eve to the fullest!

GA: The Return

So, I am an avid Girls Aloud fan and the press conference that took place last week and the announcement of the Greatest Hits tour pleased me greatly. I just love them, well mabes not Nadine after the revs I have read snippets of in Cheryl’s book (the ma is getting it me for crimbo) but I am just so excited that the girls are getting back together and I can’t get enough of their new single. Defo one I can dance round my bedroom to! I was lucky enough to nab two tickets on Friday for my lovely friend Natalie for next March. I know I have spoken about my love of liveĀ  music and attending gigs on here before and next year is shaping up to be a great year. Glastonbury 2013 tickets are in the bag after a very stressful Sunday morning a couple of weeks back and The Black Keys, Jessie Ware and Florence and the Machine are still to come this year! Anyone else heading to any great gigs this …

Lazy Sunday Afternoon

So, I have abandoned my blog of late since my poor little laptop died and had to go to computer ER to be fixed. Luckily, we were reunited and I can update with what has been going on in my world. Yesterday, I headed to Manchester, my soul city, with one of my best friends to indulge in one of my guilty pleasures- Scissor Sisters. We headed to the Northern Quarter and made a first time visit to Almost Famous. I had heard great things about this burger joint on Twitter and from other bloggers and we weren’t disapointed. The food was great. I chose the Famous Burger which is your bog standard burger- meat, cheese, sauce and salad. But boy it was good and the mix of chips and sweet potato fries and coldslaw finished my meal off perfectly. We had a couple of cocktails before we headed down to the Apollo. The Scissor Sisters are so fun and put on such a fantastic show with Ana Matronic making a truly fabulous front woman. …
