Press Events- Goody Bags

Ok, I am new to the press show thang and therefore last week I received my first goody bags. Hence the reason I have dragged my blog posts out all week about the events! Here is a peek at what goodies I received- cue very excited screams from me and my boss when we received them. Thanks to all the brands involved- Missguided, Argos, and Warehouse.

Warehouse and River Island- Xmas Press Days

So I wrote a post on the weekend about my lovely work trip to London town last Thursday to attend the Matalan Xmas in July event and whilst I was there I managed to squeeze a trip in to a couple of the other events held around Covent Garden and Oxford Street. I explained in my last post I rarely get the chance to get down to London, in fact it was my first ever time to Oxford Street- I know, I can’t quite¬† believe it either! I am defo more of a Manchester gal. However, the Warehouse and River Island were both great but very different. Warehouse The Warehouse event was held in Convent Garden and we were greeted by the by the PR team. It was in one room with the clothing on mannequins in outfits built to suit the A/W season. The bags were gorgeous, as always at Warehouse, and I almost certainly fell in love with a stunning black leather jacket. Lots of studs and embellishment planned to carry us throughout …

Xmas in July- Press Events

So this week I got to take a work trip down to London to the Matalan Xmas collection press event. I don’t really get the chance to go down to the capital that often so I really was a tourist armed with my camera! It was great to see how retail events work, meet and chat to some of my favourite bloggers and have a sneaky peek at the clothes due into stores. Whilst I was in town I managed to get to the Argos, Missguided, Warehouse and River Island events. They were all so different but the clothing was gorgeous! Here are a couple of pics from the day and the Matalan and Argos events- Matalan The Matalan was a fantastic day, yes I’m biased I know, and it was great to see key pieces across all departments. I will post a more detailed entry over the next week but for now, here are a couple of pics. To see more footage from the event check out the Matalan blog ūüôā Argos The Argos …

Legs Eleven Lydia

So, its a¬†Wednesday¬†there¬†isn’t¬†much on telly so I thought I would do my usual- browse the internet, see what I can treat myself to when payday arrive and have a goosey gander on the Daily Mail. One thing that does excite me is the return of towie this Sunday. I have loved seeing all the pics appearing of the cast filming ready for the first episode of the new series and we finally get to see what’s goin down with Gemma and Arj. So, anyway back to this eve, as soon as I hit the Mail and scrolled to the right (we all know the celeb stories are the best bit!) and I see this pics below- Lydia Legs 11. I can’t wait to see what the craic is with her and Tom Kilbey. Bet Debbie aint half telling her to put some trousers on! ¬† ¬† ¬†

Hair Dye Drama

So, anyone who knows me will understand this post and how much my hair dying activities rule my life at times. Yes you read that correctly. It all started when I moved to Preston to uni and I got the guts to use a semi-permanent box dye for the first time. My natural colour is a gingey blonde- strawberry blonde my mother insists (yes, it is a real colour despite what people may say!). Throughout school being a ginge is not cool. Yes, you may now have the Nicola Roberts of the world flying the flag along with Lily Cole and the entire Weasley family, but when your teen ginger aint the colour to be. My dream colour was always red. I always loved the dyed red colour and desperately wanted it. So around 2008-ish my quest began. Over the past 4 years I have subtle red, bright red, pinky red, a dalliance with a chocolate brown, (less said about that one the better) and my current colour- a burgundy shade. Darker than I expected …

Shes a perfect 10, but wears a 12….

So, I remember around January time 2011, I last blogged about diets and exercise. Like most girls I’m constantly on a diet, trying everything closer magazine tells me. But do I ever feel like I actually lose any or improve my body? No. The truth is, I’m lazy. There I’ve said it. I fad diet, cut pasta this week, no bread the next yet epically fail by eating pasta salad for lunch everyday. Yet, do I ever get off my ass and exercise? Well except the odd weekend when my inner Beyonce takes over, no. Well last Thursday I had an change of heart. I buy the weekly mags every tues and read about celeb diets and who’s lost and gained weight over the past 7 days and fawn over gorgeous dresses in the perfect size 10 yet and aspire to spend my next beach hol looking, quite frankly, amazeballs in a bikini yet I never motivate myself. So back to last thurs, I decided to join the gym. Enough eating salad all week and …
